Overture integrated Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 into the existing infrastructure for use by the Office of Inspector General and their external stakeholders as a knowledge management portal, collaboration tool, and for workflow automation of existing business processes.

As an integral part of this project, Overture also designed and developed SilverLight enabled executive dashboards within SharePoint to disseminate divisional performance data. Other development and customization efforts to the OIG SharePoint portal included; the design and development of a project status report tracking application with visual indicators based on calculated columns for overdue tasks, task slippage, and task completion; the design and development of reporting functionality which exports SharePoint list data to templated MS Word documents; development and implementation of a leave request calendar with color coded event entries based on the event type; the development of automated workflows to gather approvals for leave requests, project charter approvals, as well as to assign project IDs; the development of a custom time tracking and certification application to capture all necessary data related to tracking and certifying hours for employees and contractors; and the development of a custom audit recommendations and follow-up application to capture all data related to communicating audit recommendations and capturing responses from auditees.
